Destinystep padded into the fairly new clearing of ThunderClan Camp. He had a plumb mouse and a fat vole in his mouth. Dumping them both on the slowly growing fresh-kill pile, he took up a juicy mouse for himself. Flopping down on his side with a grunt near the Warrior's Den, he began devouring his prey.

Ravenpaw padded into the camp,carrying a limp rabbit proudly in his jaws.New-Leaf was beginning, and prey was plentiful.Ravenpaw's lean body was not because he hadn't got enough food anymore,but because of the apprentice's enthusiasm and constant exercise gainign by hunts and patrols.He set his catch down by the Fresh-kill pile, and selected a plump sparrow for himself;his favorite.When prey was good,a cat could offord to be a bit picky.His emerald-green gaze swept over the clearing in interest,searching for any cats that were currently there.He smiled and trotted over,setting down his catch."Hiya Destinystep!"he greeted his mentor with a cheerful ,but respectful dip of his head.

Straightening out his back and looking eager, Lightpaw readied himself and ran towards the ledge flapping his paws. "I'M FLYING!!!" He exclaimed with happiness until he was muffled by the dirt meeting his face.
Sticking his face back up, he noticed Destinystep and Ravenpaw back into camp. Not taking much interest in Destinystep, he quickly ran over to Ravenpaw, putting his on his best posture. "Hey Ravenpaw, where've you been?" he asked with enthusiasm.

Ravenpaw grinned, and turned to greet his den-mate."Hiya Lightpaw!"he meowed."I've been...training."he growled,with a playful glare at Destinystep. "And climbing,"he added on a more cheerful note."So.Have you flown yet?!"

Destinystep smiled and flicked his tail in greeting to his apprentice. His smiled faded slightly and he rolled his eyes at Lightpaw's foolish and disrespectful acts. "Apprentices these days." he mumbled under his breath. "Doesn't your mentor teach you anything about respect for your elders?" he added, more to himself then directly to Lightpaw. He listened to the pair talk, returning Ravenpaw's glare with a playful swat at his ear.

"Ouch!"yelped Ravenpaw in mock-pain,turning back to his mentor with a smile of amusement."Destinystep, don't be like that!"he meowed earnestly a she heard the tom's comment under his breath."Lightpaw's only worried he'll be told off for greeting you like that....MOST mentors think us apprentices are crazy."he informed Destinystep,nodding his head seriously."---And sometimes I think you do aswell." he added with a mischevious smirk.Unwilling to get cuffed again,he gave a short mew, and ducked,tumbling backwards at the same time.This resulted in Ravenpaw clumsily tumbling over his own paws,and landing with a hacking fit of coughs, in the dusty hollow that the camp dipped into."I'm....okay...."he muttered, scrambling back over to the two."Note to self....never try to multi-task!"he added,giving his pelt a shake and sending dust flying everywhere.Now Ravenpaw's fur was on end from the shake.The young apprentice sneezed, looked himself over,and grinned,his spiked pelt now bristling playfully."That was...awesome....you know,Lightpaw....flying may be fun....but fallings funner!"he laughed,using incorrect grammar,one of his mischevious apprentice traits.He eyed his unfinished sparrow,and a sudden grin came to his face. Pouncing forward,he dug his claws into it and flicked his paws so that his prey went flying through the air.Ravenpaw sprang to his paws, teetering humorously,but,surprisingly,skillfully upon his hind legs,and catching the sparrow with his front paws before dropping back down again."Haha! I caught it!In Leaf-bare, I use snowflakes.In Leaf-fall,I use leaves. But in New-Leaf and Leaf-Green,I guess I'll have to improvise.Mama always said never play with your food,but oh well."he meowed shamelessly.A sudden glint came to his eyes."Hey!Maybe I'll learn to catch LIVE birds like that,right out of the air!That'd be cool,huh?And Lightpaw,you could fly after them!"added the talkitive apprentice.

Lightpaw nodded in agreement to Ravenpaw and whispered a thanks to his friend for backing him up. Looking back at the rock ledge he boasted with happiness, "I'm pretty sure I flew higher than yesterday! Maybe I'll even get to fly like the birds!" he sighed as he daydreamed about flying in the clouds.
(sorry, I'm doing homework to 1am, which is the time now, so I'm just posting quick and going to sleep, so I'll ttyl!)

Ravenpaw's eyes widened in shock,and a slow grin spread over his face."Cool!"he exclaimed,enchanted by his friend's news."Hey...next time we catch a bird....we can INTERIGATE it.make ti teach you how to fly as high as the do!"he added excitedly.Though his comment was rediculessly impossible, Ravenpaw's energetic expression showed that he supported his new theory 100%."Or you could climb way up into the treetops....and jump!No,you might get hurt,but you could probaly do it!"he meowed, narrowing his emerald green eyes; and giving the impression of someone who was struggling to think of a solution.

Lightpaw's face brightened by Ravenpaw's idea, "GREAT IDEA!" the apprentice exclaimed, jumping up in happiness, "We'll go catch a bird and interrogate it now on how he flies!" Lightpaw quipped and ran towards the camp entrance and stopped to turn back to Ravenpaw, "You coming?" he asked.

Ravenpaw nodded."You bet!Hang on!" he meowed.Grinning sheepishly,he turned to Destinystep."Sorry,Destinystep.I can't train right now,I gotta go!"he meowed.This comment might of sounded rather bold from an apprentice to his mentor,but Ravenpaw's voice was just amusingly informative.With that,he bounded away,following Lightpaw.

Again Destinystep rolled his eyes as the apprentices bounded off with another one of their crazy plans that they would soon find out would backfire. Gulping down the last bite of his mouse, he stood up and stretched, then looked around for his sister.
