Mousepaw turned as Spiderpaw yowled "Spiderpaw, who are you talking to? There is no one here!!" She growled

'My son, Ravenheart my be Mousepaw's father, but he certainly isn't yours...' the cold voice said as it faded slightly, as if getting farther away. But it rang loud and clear again when it return, just beside the apprentice's ear. 'Your father isn't anything like that piece of mouse dung. Your father was greater then that.'

Spiderpaw spun around as the voice shifted "Lair!" He yowled "My father was a great Thunderclan warrior and died fighting for his clan!!!" He finished and turned to Mousepaw "You shut your mouth kitty-pet!" He snarled.
Mousepaw unsheathed her claws "Fine! Your so dead!" She snarled and leapt at her brother, this time her claws out streached and fangs ready to sink into his fur. "Im tired of you!"

The mist appeared suddenly, blinding both apprentice's. It encircled Mousepaw, trapping her. It guided Spiderpaw away from his half-sister and her claws before speaking again. 'Your father was nothing of the sort! Your father didn't belong to a clan. He had too many ambitions, too much power, and too much sense to ever want to be in a clan. Clans may seem brave, loyal, and fierce. But the truth is, they band together in attemtp to keep themselves safe. They are cowards who don't want to fight alone!' it said. 'You may think they are fierce now, but you haven't seen fierce until you have seen cats from outside the clans fight. Yes, clan cats are as fierce as a mouse. But I and so many others are stronger then that. Ravenheart didn't die fighting for his clan. He died because he was strong enought to cope with the fact that his mate's first litter wasn't his. They were another tom's. He let himself fall so far, that he was vaunerable to any creature with a black heart and soul. He wasn't fit to be called a cat. Your father wasn't like that. I'm your father, and I was nothing like that scared little mouse.'

Spiderpaw's eyes widened at that "GET AWAY FROM ME!" He yowled "You have no proof thats what happened and your not even real! Im just thinking of you. If I ignore you long enough you'll go away!"

'I know it happened because I was there! I was the one who put Ravenheart out of his misery! And I am the one who is the father of your mothers first litter! Your brothers and sisters are here in these caves because I came and took them with me. All but you. And now you're here after all this time, and you will carry on my legacy!' The voice hissed in Spiderpaw's ear.

Spiderpaw's grew wide in shock "Y-you BASTARD!!" He yowled. "You were the one my mother was talking to as she lay dieing wasnt it!? What makes you think that I'd ever carry on YOUR legacy!?! I have my own life to live with my half sister and brother!" He snarled. But even as he said the words, images of him ruling over the forest flashed through his mind.
Mousepaw turned and padded to where Milo disappeared "Um. Mr. Boss dude sir? Do you think you could stop Spiderpaw from blabbing to himself. Its getting kinda awkward over there" She meowed into the darkness...not wanting to get any closer to the cat.

Milo's eyes appeared, piercing through the darkness. They glared at Mousepaw as if she were the most discusting thing he'd ever seen, then disappeared again.
"Spiderpaw, my son, I can see it. You're more like me then you'll ever know..." The voice said as it began fading. "It won't take Milo long to figure it out. He is your half brother after all." It grew quieter and quieter, echoing through the cave. "Don't forget, I'll be waiting my son. I'll be right here next to you, watching, waiting..." The voice and mist disappeared in one fell swoop.
