Morningsong padded through the Canopy of rubies, her expression blank. They'd only been there for a day,and she knew nothing about the territory. So,she was sort of lost. Not that she cared. Morningsong had been rather lonely lately. All of her relatives were gone. Lionpelt,Ashpaw,Blackkit,Bluemoon.... And she mourned in her own way.Never showing it unless she was alone.Never admitting her sadness. Her lonelyness. The fact that she had never gotten a chance to mourn properly. She stayed strong.but inside, the calico wasn't strong...

Gentleheart padded through the thicket around the edge of the Canopy of Rubies. Taking in a deep breath of fresh air, feeling relaxed and slightly tired at the thought of the long way they had come and all those who had departed along the journey to join StarClan in watching over them.
Spotting Morningsong almost instantly, she smiled friendily. But the smile faded when she saw her friend's expression. She sauntered toward the younger warrior and gave her a sympathetic look, realizing that she had lost nearly everyone close to her in the recent struggles the clans had gone through. "Penny for your thoughts?" she mewed gently from behind, giving her a small, soft, trademark smile.

Morningsong turned around, her hackles raised. However, once she spotted Gentleheart, she nodded in greeting to the other warrior."Oh..."she meowed softly,to miserable to return the smile. Her pretty green eyes narrowed in worry. Was she really that obvious?"It's nothing,Gentleheart.I'm only having a bad day."she replied calmly.

"I know you well enough to know it's not nothing. And yeah, I can imagine you're having a very bad day with the way you look." she said lightly, attempting to joke. "Don't worry. I know what it's like to lose someone close to you. I've lost plenty. Not just family, but friends too. And I know it's really hard, added on top of the fact that we are in a new place and in just as much chaos as we were back in the old forest. But it'll get better. You'll move on. Just remember that they are always watching over you. Even now."

Morningsong growled softly. She didn't need watching over. She needed them to be HERE.NOW.And how could she move on?She hadn't had time to grieve yet.Snarling, and flattening her ears, she looked Gentleheart firmly in the eye."Look,"she meowed, trying to keep her voice polite, whatever he actions did.Her fur bristled along her back as her temper got the best of her."I know that everyone says that helps. But It doesn't.I appriciate the thought,But I don't want pity. And I definately don't want to talk. With anyone."she spat.

Gentleheart stood her ground with an unchanged expression. She had expected a reaction like that from her overprotective friend. She shrugged. "I didn't say you had to. And I'm not giving you pity. Pity is for the weak minded. I beleive in sympathy and empathy, but not pity." she mewed, her voice the same as before. "But just to let you know, I do know how you feel. And if you ever change you mind about talking, you can come to me. Greive for the ones you lost, but don't let it get in the way of living." She turned around and began padding away after that was said. Then stopped and looked over her shoulder. "Remember that you haven't lost everyone." she mewed.

Morningsong's eyes widened. This only infuriated her more."Who do you think you are?!"she spat after Gentleheart."No,I DONT need your sympathy,or whatever it is.And I DONT need you!Or anyone, for that matter. You don't understand. You DON'T.You have your siblings. You have..."she snarled, trailing off."You think I've been grieving this all this time.I haven't got a CHANCE to grieve since Ashpaw!"she yowled. She wanted to blame it all on Gentleheart. She needed someone to blame,to channel her pent up anger at.But the truth was deeper than that.Something that she herself didn't even want to admit. And something that her Clan-mates couldn't help her with.

Gentleheart kept walking as Morningsong took her anger out on her. She knew exactly everything was saying and the truth behind it. But she was also wrong about the gray and white she-cat not knowing what she was going through. It had happened to her, more then once. And she didn't have any siblings left. Riverpaw was long gone. Had been for a long time. And Aspenleaf and Speckledclaw were both dead. Plus her mother had recently died and she hadn't seen her father in so long she wasn't sure if he was still living. She didn't mind her friends yelling but she wasn't going to stick around for it to happen in her face. She would give her time to heal.

Morningsong's eyes narrowed."Fine..."she spat."Fine.Ignore me,then, coward!"she panted angrily, her hackles on end.Usually, she wouldn't have been disrespectful to anyone like this, let alone an older warrior. But today....today was different. So With that, she whipped around and sprinted through the wet morning grass, away from everything.No-one knew their way around the territory yet, so it was dangerous to be alone, but she didn't care. She WANTED to be alone.
