Namine' padded cautiously through the thick undergrowth of grass, her muscles tensed and ready for anything. Her breathing was shallow and scarcely noticed, almost as if she wasn't breathing at all. Slowly, gently, she walked on, her eyes wide with a bit of worry but also.. Curiousity. Never had she trotted on this land before, and part of her.. Wantted to see what it was that lived here. Then again, another part of her wantted to turn back... But, the question was, where was she going to turn back too?
A strange scent filled her nostrills as Namine' began to come out of the gorse and into a small clearing, in the middle being a lake. It was an essense so different than her own, so unfimilar, she forced herself to hold her head lower in attempt to escape it. She gradually made her way to the small lake, putting her two, small front paws into the shallow edge of the water as it lapped onto the shore. Her ears and whiskers twitched gingerly as she stared ahead of her, trying to figure out if someone was following her...
Namine' suddenly felt a shadow appear over her dainty, thin body, that of another... Caught again. She closed her eyes, muttering something to herself, and slowly turned around. Opening her eyes she could've swore she saw... Saw him.. Those bright green eyes... She gasped as she stepped back a little, but, just as quickly as she had seen the figure, it vanished into thin air. What was going on?
Namine' shook her head, closing her eyes in relief... At least it wasn't really him.. Or was it? Who knows. Maybe she wasn't getting enough rest, and her mind was playing tricks on her.. Or maybe the world was playing tricks on her mind. Namine' sighed reluctantly as she turned around again, staring into the water at her reflection... Why now? Why was the past suddenly beginning to haunt her, right when she almost had things right?
A cool, crisp breeze blew by her, ruffling Namine's soft, neat fur. It didn't bother the poor cat much, though... What was a bit of wind compared to what had happenned? Her bright blue eyes opened again as she stared into the setting sun.
