By the time he had finally emerged through the thick bracken that surrounded the camp, Mothpelt had two mice and a plump rabbit in his jaws. Limping slightly, he dropped his catch on the fresh-kill pile and headed towards the warrior's den not bothering to grab anything for himself.

Sandstorm sat alone in the center of camp, her spotted tail wrapped neatly around her paws. She looked up from her half-eaten fish as Mothpelt came into camp. She opened her mouth to greet her brother, but closed it again,in surprise,as he trudged past her without a word,or bite to eat,for that matter.Sandstorm sighed.Something had to be wrong. Was Mothpelt, like her, illy-adjusting to the new territory?Or was it something else.Perhaps it was just worry getting the best of her.Again.The brown and black tabby sighed, and got to her paws, and padded slowly over to the warrior's Den."Mothpelt...."she called softly, her tail gently swinging from side to side as she waited for an answer from her brother.

A dark form lay in the nest closest to the back of the warrior's den, barely moving except for the rising and falling of its flanks. Mothpelt's eyes flickered open to see Sandstorm standing in the enterance of the warrior's den, sighing slightly, he pulled himself to his paws. Wincing slightly as the wound on his shoulder streched he padded over his his sister, his tail dragging slightly from tiredness. "Sorry, I guess I forgot to say something on my way here" He meowed to Sandstorm "I guess I didnt see you, I was kinda in a hurry to sleep thats all" He told her and sat down a few rabbit leapts in front of her waiting for her reply.

Sandstorm shook her head calmly."Thats okay,it doesn't matter."she assured him, looking around the empty nest. The skies were already darkening, and before long, more warriors would be entering the den.Even now,in the dusk, Sandstorm's cat eyes could only just make out Mothpelt's form without squinting."I just came because...I thought something might have been wrong. Is something the matter?"she asked carefully.Sandstorm, you mouse-brain!He's only tired. her thoughts snapped.Yet still,She sat, waiting for a reply just in case.Though,if she knew Mothpelt,he probaly wouldn't be too keen to tell her.

Mothpelt shook his head in reply "No. Nothing's wrong.....im just tired thats all" He meowed. Flicking his dark ears back hoping she wouldnt notice the look on his face that gave away the fact that he was liying to her. The fact was, something about a certin Bloodclan queen that he had met on the way here had made him different and he wouldnt admit it. "I've got to be up early tomorrow, so Im going back ok?" He meowed dryly.
